The Sauvignon Blanc was planted in 2000 along with the Chardonnay at the new Vasarelli ‘Young Block’. The Semillon however was one of the very first varieties planted by the Vasarelli’s, back in early 1978.
This wine is produced from both Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc grapes which were hand picked from the home block. Mid straw with golden glints, pure varietal fruit characters of green apples, lemon and grassy herbal hints. Some soft tropical fruit characters are evident in the background. The beautiful lifted fruit and herb flavours of the Sauvignon Blanc add greater dimensions to the lemony Semillon fruit. It’s fresh and lively on the palate with a zingy, zesty finish.
Drink now with friends and serve in a chilled glass before a meal, to stir up the taste buds. This wonderful 2010 of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc also goes well with our Antipasto platter served in our restaurant.
